New Salem Scholarship 2023
Through the generous support of our church members, we are excited to be able to offer a scholarship to assist students affiliated with New Salem Baptist Church for a college or university for undergraduate or graduate studies. This is to assist those students who have the aptitude for further education but may have limited financial resources. Please see the following requirements for eligibility and apply below. Applications for summer 2023 have closed.
- Applicant is in good standing with New Salem Baptist Church
- Applicant is seeking post-secondary education (undergraduate, graduate, trade school or vocational school) with a minimum of half-time enrollment.
- For students attending college or university, it must be a fully accredited school listed as such by the Federal Department of Education through the applicable Regional Association of Schools and Colleges or such professional associations as the Association of Theological Schools, the National School of Music, etc.
- For students attending trade or vocational schools, they must be accredited, known or recognized.
- Student has demonstrated appropriate financial need, providing a copy of FAFSA.
- Student will submit a copy of their most recent transcript.
- Student will submit an essay describing their testimony as a Christ-follower and how Jesus Christ has made a difference in their lives. And describe their long-term goals in higher education and beyond.
