The foster care ministry team is seeking to take God’s love into broken places by providing love and support to children in the foster care system by educating the church, connecting the church with opportunities, and by providing support for foster and biological families within our church and our community.

PUSH: We are PUSHing out information about the foster care community to educate our people.

November 10 is Stand Sunday.  What will you do to STAND for the vulnerable children in our community?

PREPARE: We are PREPARING the people of New Salem and our community by hosting training opportunities.

FaithBridge Foster Care is one of our church partners.  Whether you are curious about the statistics or you might consider fostering one day, you can sign up for a virtual or live Encounter to learn more!

PROVIDE: We are PROVIDING support to the foster and kinship families in our community.

Fall Treat Bags for
Cobb DFCS Case Managers
New Salem had the opportunity to partner with The Forgotten Initiative and another church to encourage the workers on the frontlines!  We packed and prayed over gift bags for the Cobb DFCS workers to enjoy at their Fall Appreciation Carnival.
WRAP teams will provide support to foster families in these ways:
W | Words of Encouragement – Text, call & write letters of encouragement to the foster family.
R | Respite Care – Give foster families respite through acts of babysitting, taking children out for playdates, and more.
A | Acts of Service – Providing or organizing meals and simply asking the family if they have any physical needs that the church might help meet.
P | Prayer – Spending time in intentional prayer for the foster family you are assigned.
* If you would like to be a part of a WRAP team please email foster@newsalem.org.
